What is 'Spyke?'



Spyke is a Linear Calendar, Payment Reminder, & Financial Planner that lets you "See Your Finances."



What's a "Spyke?"



A Spyke is just another term for an "Expense" or "Event."  It's a play on the word "Spike."



What platforms does Spyke support?



Spyke runs on Apple and Windows Desktops, iOS and Android mobile phones, and tablets.



Does Spyke require Internet Access?



Yes. Spyke4Desktop requires internet at all points, though Spyke data is always saved on your device until you choose to back it up.



How do I Add a 'Spyke?'



Easy! Click the "Plus" (Edit) icon. Add a name, date, and cost for your 'Spyke' and click "Save."



How do I Edit a Spyke?



Click on the "Hammer" icon. Click on the "Pen" icon by the Spyke you want to edit. Edit your Spyke and click "Save."



Can I back up my Spykes?



Yes! Click on the "Hammer" icon. Click on "Backup to Cloud" and confirm. (Warning: Any Spyke data saved in your Cloud account will be overwritten.)



How do I restore my Cloud Spyke data?



Click on the "Hammer" icon. Click on "Restore from Cloud" and confirm. (Warning: Any Spyke data saved on your device will be overwritten.)



Why does the "Hammer" symbol light up when I click a Spyke?



That means the Spyke is now assigned to the "Edit" feature.



Why does the "Plus" symbol light up when I click on a date?



That means a date is now assigned to the "Add" and "Edit" feature.



What are Layers for?



Layers allow you to organize and declutter your Spykes. This can be an advantage if you are using SPYKE in certain situations like making a business presentation, planning a family vacation, review medical appointments, etc.



What are some examples of Layer items?



A Spyke on a "Business" layer might contain tenant rents due, professional license fees due, etc.
A Spyke on a "Private" layer might contain medical appointments, lawyer retainer fees, etc.
A Spyke on a "Public" layer may contain sports club fees, pet Veterinary visits, anniversaries, etc.



What is "Doggy Style?"



"Doggy Style" is the default "User Theme" for Spyke. The user interface background is black and the layout is barebones. Future themes will allow you to further customize your Spyke experience.



Is there a Spyke App?



Absolutely. A Beta Version is being tested with a production version in the works. The Apple and Google Play Stores will feature the SPYKE App this year.
